The tutoring system is a method of university education in which the main teaching method is regular sessions in very small groups. These are the main teaching sessions of a degree and are complemented by lectures, practices, and larger group classes. This system is found in the collegiate universities of Oxford and Cambridge, although other universities use this method to varying degrees.
